The Inquiry Class is HBC’s open class for anyone wanting to find out more about Jesus, the Bible and the Christian faith — no prior knowledge needed, no commitment required, all questions welcome. It is the natural first step into the life of the church for anyone who is exploring faith but isn’t yet ready for the Nurture Group’s membership-and-baptism focus.

The 2015 Anniversary Booklet does not contain a stand-alone chapter on the Inquiry Class. The historical antecedent in HBC records is the “Minister’s Bible Class” whose first meeting was held on 17 January 1898 — an open class for any seeker — and the long line of similar provision since. The current Inquiry Class structure, schedule and leadership should be confirmed.
